Oilers Set to Face Canucks or Predators in Round 2

EDMONTON, Alberta - The Edmonton Oilers have punched their ticket to the second round of the Stanley Cup playoffs with a hard-fought 4-3 victory over the Los Angeles Kings in Game 7 on Wednesday.

Leon Draisaitl led the way for the Oilers, scoring twice and adding an assist. Evan Bouchard also had a strong performance, registering three assists. Mike Smith was solid in net, making 33 saves.

With the win, the Oilers advance to the second round to face their Western Canadian rivals, the Vancouver Canucks. The Canucks clinched their berth in the next round with a dramatic 1-0 victory over the Nashville Predators on Tuesday.

The Oilers and Canucks will face off in Game 1 of the Western Conference Second Round on Saturday night in Edmonton.
